Unix Administator

We are seeking a Senior Sun Solaris Unix Systems Administrator with 4 to 6 years of experience in Unix systems, Web server & database administration, systems programming and Cisco network management. You will join a focused, professional team that is responsible for maintaining a 24x7x365 Sun Server farm.

Requirements
* Experience with Sun Solaris, (Solaris 10 is preferred) operating systems configuration, security and deployment.
* Experience with managing apache web servers
* Knowledge of installing and troubleshooting tomcat on apache.
* Experience managing one or more of the following RDBMs; Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL
* TCP/IP networking and system monitoring experience is also required.
* Experience programming in any applicable language (particualarly Perl and "C")
* Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver projects on time in a fast paced, high profile, 24X7X365 production environment
* Ability to maintain focus and perspective in a busy, time-critical production environment.
* Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proven leadership ability including mentoring junior employees.
* Support periodic on call responsibilities.
* Experience with supporting, upgrading, configuring a production Cisco networking environment (Cisco IOS and CatOS)
* Experienced business writing skilles (i.e., purchase justifications, documentation writing, processes & procedures)
* Independent problem-solving, self-direction.
* Veritas NetBackup experience a plus
* Network Applicance experience a plus
